Bossy Girl

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

How I managed to keep a smile on my face coming home from a stressful day

at work can only be a blessing from God.

At work today I found myself  stuck in a situation, that was intended to make

me beleive that I was “Bossy” towards some of my co-workers.

I was blown away!!!!!

….evidently my gift of being outspoken has been misunderstood in the work

place…..

After a group meeting between all parties to discuss the issues at hand and

many a tears that flowed from MY eyes…(did I mention Im a cry baby)

The situation was resolved….atleast I beleive so…I shall find out when I get

back to work later this week. I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut

more, I guess.

So…..I came  home to a very loving male who jumped all over me and

covered me with tons of wet kisses!

lol….did I mention he jumped in the car when I opened the door he jumped

on my lap…

If  he would have smelt a little better I would have carried him inside but

inside I made him jump down….

Bandit…my little mutt is truly a sight for sore eyes on a day like this!

Me and Bandit came inside and popped open a bottle of  red wine and began

cooking.

My girl friend cam over to  discusss  her visit to the doctor again….. for a

problem she has been facing…..

She is been diagnosed with a condition that is called  Vulvodynia. Not a good

situation and she  is trying to have a baby…..

After we talked awhile she had to go and I was just  about finished with

dinner, when cowboy calls me and ask if  I would like to go ride with him in

the fields….

We haven’t been seeing much of each other lately….Farming season has

begun!

So, I packed  up a little  picnic basket and headed out in the dark….

Sitting on the side of my cowboy, with a wineglass in hand, Bandit under my

feet, staring at the moon lit sky….

Made the  day events just wash away….

Make the  most out of  your day, think positive and keep  busy! and

Remember everything is better with a little bit of wine!

Louisiana Summer BP Madness

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Some of the best memory’s I have of my childhood are of  me and my brothers  growing up, in a small trailer park in Louisiana.

We may have not had much money, but we had so much love and happiness.

We played outside all the time….riding our bikes…playing hide and seek….playing red rover, red light – green light….and in the summer we wanted to play with the water hose.!!!!

There is something special that happens when children get to play in water outside….even as adults, there is something magically fun that happens when we get to relax in water outside..

I remember one year when it was so hot outside and me and my brothers were splashing around in our little blue plastic pool…ya’ll must know what Im talking about?

…where I live now, they use those little blue pools to feed the animals in the pasture!

Anyways…as we played and were so content, my father decided to play superman and fly into our little blue pool of water! and what a splash he made!

…My parents took us everywhere with them…at least that what I remember…and so I have many memory’s of seafood boils we would attend.

….Back before I could appreciate the delicacy of oysters….there were many dinners I missed of oyster dressing, and oyster gumbos…when I think of oysters…. I think of my mama and grandma!

So…I tell you a  few personal things because…something sad has happened and the children in Louisiana will not have these memory’s this summer.

Looking back at the last 50 Something days….since the horrible BP Explosion I’d like to ask you to pause and reflect at the first victims of the accident….

…..For the Eleven men that died that day

…for their children, wives, girlfriends, mothers, fathers, sisters brothers, any all family and friends.

…..For the Shrimpers, The Fishermen, The deckhands, The Bait Stands, any and all who’s livelihood depended on these waters to bless their families.

….For the environment…. any and all creatures….. land and water

…..Those are just a few things….

…Our State Bird is the Brown Pelican, will it now be on an endangered species list…
This is a what a Brown Pelican is supposed to look like….

and this is what they look like now.

So….School is out for summer and the children are ready for some summer fun…

In a world where we want our kids to be more active and stay away from television and video games…Well…some parents wont be able to tell their children to go play outside.

Thank you everyone who jumped aboard and really showed us that you care for our children and our futures.

Last week…I attempted to organise a benefit for the families affected by the BP Crisis

….I tried to contact a list of local musicians as well as left a message at Mr. Billy Nungesser office.

Evangleine Downs RaceTrack and Casino was generous in offering us their event room! So..Im just waiting for someone to call me back…..

Im just a small town girl living in a fantasy world, praying that somehow, somewhere all my prayers and thoughts and actions might actually do someone some good.

….Final note…..Appreciate what you have in life….everything is a gift….you may not have it tomorrow…so live for today….if you feel something in your heart tugging at you….that is God, telling you….Just do it! If you think you can make a difference….Im telling you that you can!

Peace & Love

MTV’s VMA’s Award Night

Well my husband decided to cook gumbo Sunday evening and so I thought it would be nice to invite some guest over.

Well, not only did the food make a hit but I got to offer my company some of the most outstanding and outrageous entertainment in history….

We tuned in to the VMA’s Video Music Awards put on by MTV, which should really be…Music Video Awards…

But that’s not my call so…

The guest we had at our home consisted a few neighbors that are like family and my husbands mother and partner and another female couple.

All age groups involved…in watching the VMA’s.

Comments were everything from, how awesome, awe, I remember when…oh my gosh…

And a few times we turned the sound off, when the rappers that were playing outdoors came on…

we just aren’t into that type of music….especially when the elders are around…

So… to sum up what I thought about Sundays, VMA Awards, and most definitely, while I was holding a glass of wine for my little dinner party this is what I came up with.

I happened to see the tennis match when Serena Williams lost her cool and was slammed for her outburst….

I remembered seeing the news footage about that Senator from South Carolina Joe Wilson and his outburst this week…

Then the outburst, outrageous conduct Kanye West gave a very large audience!

What ever happened to good ole respect and having composure? Didn’t your mama teach you better?

It appears like so many outbursts on going on lately…

I love that we have the honest American system of freedom of speech and I actually am guilty of some crazy outburst at times…

But seriously… in front of millions of people!…Using that outburst in an ugly disrespectful way… is just unacceptable…

I cant help but wonder if Kanye West was naughty as a young boy?

…Was Kanye’s mama or daddy around when he was growing up? I’m sure someone had to teach him to mind his manners at some point in his life.

If I had ever done anything like that my daddy would have whipped out his belt and got my booty! I sure got the paddle in school for being sassy.

But for the highlights of the show I give big Kudos for

Madonna’s opening speech of the VMA Awards, about Michael Jackson.

Madonna…had my whole house so quiet, couldn’t even hear a pin drop! And that never happens…

Her speech was so honest and real, its like we could see her heart.

The women sure had all the signs of class, elegance and grace!

It was very evident…as Taylor Swift kept her composure as Kayne West acted the fool, saying Beyonce had the best video of the year! Like that was supposed to impress someone? How old are you boy?

I believe it gave Taylor the drive to give that awesome performance on the subway train…

And uh…how old is Taylor Swift?

The heroin of the night Ms. Beyonce! Opened up her heart and gave Taylor Swift a chance without interruption to give thanks for her award. The sweet hugs shared between the two of them both dressed in red was touching.

Incredible performance by the talented Pink

….although somewhat naked to some eyes…I thought the beauty and artful way her body was adorned for her magical performance was beautiful.

I thought for a moment it was Mardi Gras because some lady I had never seen before kept wearing different Mardi Gras Mask.

I found out that she is Lady GaGa.

It was kinda cool until she wore a very unique mask like thing that looked kinda like a hay patch or birds nest thing that circled her whole face.

Her name is funny also…

I started to think…

When we are babies, the first sounds that come out our mouth are gaga… but if you Google GAGA…ha ha it means silly, crazy, senile, and in French means ole fool…??

Such a beautiful lady to cover all the unique facial gifts she has…

Her performance hit me cold…with the blood dripping all over the place…

…I just kept thinking that maybe since the master of ceremony Russell Brand kept mentioning that Robert Pattison was in the house… I thought maybe he was trying to give us a hint that Edward had finally gone for beef!

So, that’s some of the highlights I remember…from the VMA’s this year…I actually think it’s the first time I watched the entire show.

It was very entertaining and to say the least a lot to remember for years to come.

I hope that we all can learn a lesson from the outburst of negativity from this past week. That yes the media does go a bit overboard but we all need to respect each other…

Just love everybody…that’s it…it’s easy. Give it a try.
